Transitions studies the design of a mixed use commercial
building on an existing infill lot in downtown Raleigh, NC.  The
goals of creating greater amenities and enhancing living
conditions, while increasing the economical and social vitality,
and (as a fundamental issue in transitioning) looking to the
possibilities of improving the design and interaction of existing
adjacencies.  Additionally, the proposed project will promote
the innovative use of alternative building technologies, and
inspire the development of architectural ideas capable of
providing radical improvements in architectural quality.
